La Refoulerie, a charming 200 year old three
bedroom cottage just over the boarder from Normandy in
Pays de
la Loire,
less than two hours drive from the port of Caen. Located in a
tiny hamlet called Couberie just 1 mile outside the
beautiful town of Lassay-les-Chateaux, where you will find local
shops, a large supermarket, cafes and restaurants. The spa town
of
Bagnoles de l'Orne
is just 20 minutes drive, with many
activities available for all the family. During the day there is
a choice of open air swimming pool, tennis courts, horse riding
and acres of forests to discover by bike. At night you will find
a variety of good quality restaurants, hotels, cinema and a
casino for a little flutter.

Refoulerie is surrounded by 2.5 acres of private gardens, fields
and woods and has a small stream running through it. A
car is an absolute necessity.

The castle in
Lassay-les-Chateaux
is just 5 minutes drive from La Refoulerie and although privately owned
the castle and grounds are open to the public. During the summer
months guided tours occur at regular intervals during
the day.
